Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and energetic B2B Business Development Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. This role is ideal for a highly driven individual looking to make a significant impact at an organization, while also growing their career + income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation
    • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails and text messaging (Company will provide you with specific app and number, as well as a dedicated email address)
    • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market 
    • Follow up with new MQLs, new SQLS, old SQLs, lost opportunities, and old clients with the goal of setting appointments and reactivating into potential closed / won opportunities
    • Work closely with the CEO and Director of Content to develop and execute targeted sales strategies.
    • Help generate leads and schedule sales appointments through inbound and outbound strategies. 
    • Qualify leads from inbound marketing campaigns as sales opportunities, including: email/phone/text follow up and setting sales appointments 
  • Set Sales Appointments and Meetings
    • Answer incoming sales phone calls, document information in company's CRM (HubSpot), and set appointments with qualified leads.
    • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and the CEO (when needed). Ideally, the person in this role would grow into a closer role where they are setting and closing appointments on their own. 
    • Sales Meetings: Present our company to potential clients.
    • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services. Determine which product or services best fits the potential clients needs 
  • Sales Follow Up, Nurturing, and Closing
    • Nurture prospective relationships, following up by call, text, and email in a way that adds value, generates curiosity, and doesn’t repel.
    • Close Deals for the company in alignment with sales quotas set with the CEO (FUTURE responsibility)
    • Build and send proposals through our proposal software, PandaDocs.
  • Personal Workflow Management and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and prepare regular reports and forecasts for the management team in HubSpot. 
    • Report to the CEO and COO on weekly sales activities and results
    • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas and scheduling appointments (experience with closing not required, but a strong plus)
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Familiarity with MS Excel or Google Sheets (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred, but not required.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
